I’m an optician at White Mountain Optical in Plymouth, New Hampshire. I’ve been passionate about optics for 22 years and recently earned my ABO Advanced certification this past summer. I’m also an ABO speaker and enjoy expanding my knowledge through education. In my free time, I love hiking, kayaking, and spending quality time with my soon-to-be husband and kids.

Our Executive Board Members

Sarah Alfano, ABOC

Hi everyone! I’m Sarah, and I bring 12 years of experience in the optical industry, a little New York edge, and a whole lot of New Hampshire love for mountain air!

I live in Southern New Hampshire with my husband, Joe, and our 12-year-old Jr. Grizzlies football center. For the past three years, I’ve also had the privilege of serving as a board member of the New Hampshire Optician Society.

When I’m not talking frames and helping practices find their next great collection, you’ll usually find me exploring everything New Hampshire has to offer — hiking the White Mountains, cheering on local sports, or playing street hockey with my family.

One of my favorite things about living here? Hands down, our neighborhood Halloween! We welcome anywhere from 500 to 750 trick-or-treaters every year for one spectacularly spooky night.

I’ve never met a challenge I wasn’t ready to take on — although now that I’m a little presbyopic, I’ll be seeing those challenges even better through a great pair of frames from Europa!

"I have been in the patient and customer support industry for 34 years, dedicating the last nearly 19 as an Optician in the State of New Hampshire.

Today I am happily grounded in one office, executing my passions of positive patient experiences and education for patients and practitioners alike.
I am a Mom to 4 adult children and one nearly teenager.
My hobbies include spending time with my family, friends, and pets . Watching sports. Reading. And anything that involves the beach.
My favorite places to be are Wallace Sands State Park, NH and the Outer Banks, NC"
